Week Eight Update – March 14th

As far as Miss Navy Rose goes, it feels like she had a quiet week but we also had some good progress. Here’s some quick hits:

? on her 8-week birthday, passed the 9 lbs hurdle.

? Moved into a new room for less than a day, and then moved into another new room, specifically for Long Term Care babies.

? She also moved on from having a new resident every two weeks to getting her own Nurse Practitioner.

? Chest tube out. Feeds are at 30 mL of Heather’s milk(!) every three hours. She gets an X-Ray fairly regularly and it shows that fluid has remained steady of increasing and her right lung isn’t fully expanded yet, so we’re still playing with that.

? We did have a scary incident of her passing out and we don’t know what that means, but they told us to not overreact.

? She got some good ‘play’ time of sitting up, rattles, and music therapy this week which was a lot of fun. She also gets to be in a crib and a swing and WEAR CLOTHES.
